Two weeks have passed since Nikki, a 43-year-old mother of two, went missing. Neighbors who were interviewed said they saw no trace of anything out of the ordinary. An eyewitness, who wishes to not be identified, tells us she was last seen with her bus loaded up, kids buckled in, and a road atlas tucked under her arm. Police and family still baffled and are questioning anyone who has information to decipher the letter she left.

The incident report states she left with her two kids and has not been in contact with anyone since.

A closer look at the time leading up to her disappearance revealed she made several attempts to reach out for help.

Thousands of dollars were spent on intake assessments from a number of professionals and ancillary service programs and it looks as though she was often passed on, passed off, ignored, not followed up or through on, referred out, mostly leading to being lost in the shuffle.

A subsequent lead to this story was recently posted on a social media account highlighting another side of this mysterious woman. Unsure of the validity to this post, as Nikki spearheaded an anti-social media or rather, purposeful technology campaign. These particular digital fingerprints point to an empowered woman who found her way back to a life worth living through a journey where she “found her words again” by pouring her heart and soul into over 400 poems and prose encapsulated into a book entitled “I Asked for Help!”

Missing sign

It is now evident she got lost too many times which serves for good and sufficient reason to go missing.

Godspeed to you Nikki! You inspire me.
